I don't remember whether it was signed or not.
I didn't prepare balance sheet.
My other work during
auditing time finished some time between 5 & 6 p.m.
By Official Receiver I was asked about Ex.G but not about
others. I mentioned other 3 balance sheets. I did not tell
Official Receiver that I had told Mr. Brewer how to make out
balance sheet from the 3: I said 'I asked Mr. Brewer how he
pre pared combined balance sheet from the 3 subsidiary ones'.
The report of what I said to Official Receiver is a misunder
-standing. I never saw Mrs. Brewer there. I am sure Mrs.
Brewer nover asked me to sign any balance sheet. I signed
Ex.H in Mr. Brewer's room in his presence. I did not alter
Chinese characters in Ex.k. I saw Rodrigues once only, Leo
not at all, during evenings when I was auditing. By books
in English and Chinese I mean that only headings are in
Chinese.

I am Chartered Accountant.
I have investigated books of Instone Banking Corporation on
behalf of Official Receiver. I examined many books, anongat
them is minute bɔok Fx.K. I found Ex.K in Instone Banking
Corporation when I took over. I would recognise Mr. Brewer's
signature only through seeing it on bank papers. I investi-
gated Ex.D.
Items:- Authorised Capital. Issued & Subscribed.
According to books only 14,740 shares have been issued to
nominal value of $1,474,000. I got this from Fx.L(N.I.B.11)
p.8, and from Register of members Ex.M. Exhibit M shows
15,740 shares on register, of which 1,000 have been
forfeited.
